In the late 1980s in Germany, in the region of lower Saxony, the vicious murder of two middle-aged couples who went for a walk in a local forest, baffled investigators.
From the placement of the victims and the items stolen, detectives could draw parallels and concluded it was the same perpetrator for both crimes.


At the end of that decade a woman mysteriously disappeared from her home one evening, no trace of her could be found and the police pointed the finger of suspicion at her estranged husband – who in turn strongly believed that her neighbour, a cemetery gardener, was responsible for his wife‘s disappearance.
The woman’s brother who was at the time the chief of Hamburg’s criminal investigation bureau, never gave up on finding out what happened to his sister.


This murder mystery thriller is full of twists and turns, and unexpected revelations.
